InPop Records has joined with Girls Can’t WHAT? for an exciting giveaway of Superchick CDs!

I think its so positive and encouraging what superchick and this website stand for, promoting girls to achieve their dreams. Just recently, I achieved my dream of working aboard at a summer camp.

Hey, Superchic[k]!!! I remember when I was younger and I saw the video for “BarlowGirl” and I said to myself: This band is so cool, I think I’m gonna keep listening to them forever!!!
Well, it is such a timeless classic even though it was only a few years ago when it aired!!! I even like your more softer songs such as “I Belong To You”, I used to sing that song all of the time…it sounds romantic but…uh, I am stumped!!! You leave me speechless with that one…it’s just awesome!!! =]

I have loved Superchick for many years now…. and there are so many times that “stand in the rain” has saved me from terrible things, whether it be myself or other people that stopped believing in me, i knew that someone did. My 10 year old daughter LOVES Superchick! She first heard them on a Disney movie (Cadet Kelly) and it prompted her to ask me to buy the soundtrack to the movie ) She would LOVE these CDs!

I have two daughters ages 10 (Claire) and 8 (Abigail) and they both love your music. They have a karaoke machine in their room and sing to songs from ‘Rock What You Got’ all the time. Claire even sang Hey Hey for a talent show at school. If you knew Claire you would never guess that she would sing in front of others kids because she can be a bit of an introvert. But in 4th grade she started coming out of her shell and I like to think your music has helped. We saw you in Houston with KJ52 (who we love too!). Our family had a great time. Thanks for the music. It sounds great and even better has very healthy messages for young women.

I can’t sing or compose music for the life of me, but I love to write, and I try to write lyrics Superchick might write. I have been a huge superchick fan since the beginning. I love the message behind their music and feel inspired when i listen to their music to encourage the girls around me. my husband and i have worked with the youth before and plan on having our own youth group someday. Superchick rocks my socks off!

OMG Superchick is SOOOOOOOOO amazing! Ever time I listen to there songs they just keep getting better. My favorite song by them is Cross the Line. Ever time I hear it on the radio, I know exactly what song it is after hearing the first second of it. It would be soooo cool to get their CD library. It would be the only CDs ever again.

Superchick is an amazing band! You guys have music that is clean and that is great for us teenagers to listen to. It’s nice to be able to find a band that you like to listen to that has lyrics that actually SAY something, great music, and songs that don’t involve bad language. I love what Superchick stands for in terms of telling us to stand up and be our own person, not follow the crowds, and know that it’s alright not to be going along with what society thinks is ‘right’ in terms of relationships and the media. Thank you for that! That’s something we really don’t hear too often these days. I’d also just like to say thank you for inspiring me to make a change… After I started listening to your music, I was encouraged to start volunteering more and getting involved with my community and causes that mean a lot to me. Some people may say it’s not possible, but I believe in being a one girl revolution and I WILL change the world someday. =)

I have spent my life going after goals I wasn’t sure I could achieve. Sometimes it took a while to get my feet under me. Often my family told me to find something more “reasonable” to work toward. However, it is more fun when you achieve something that was a real challenge. Now I’m the mom, passing on these values to my two girls, who are in elementary school. We all love Superchick. I love the message that feminity looks many different ways and that God made us just the way he wants us for his specific purpose. Hey Superchick!
This year is one huge step of faith for me, as I start college this fall right outside of Nashville. I will be leaving home to pursue my dream of becoming a photographer and I’m super excited! There have been several times that I’ve questioned if this is something I can do, but every time God has worked things out in amazing ways. He’s just walked with me, one step at a time.

Superchick is so amazingly talented and their music is very inspirational (one example: Stand in the Rain) I love their music because there’s always something from them for you to listen to no matter what mood you’re in. I actually don’t have ANY of their CD’s which is really sad, but I’ve heard their music through the radio and Myspace and my best friend who introduced me to Superchick about three years ago. About Superchick I found out from my friend about couple years ago. And from that time I cant stop listening to their music! When I meet my friend we always turn on the music and sing cause that music rocks! This is probably the best group I have ever heard. I enjoy not only their music,but also the lyrics,wich I can relate to my life. When I’m sad I can always turn on Superchick’s music. Hi i’m rebekah and i have lived my whole life being told that i can’t do certain things because i have a very rare disease that has caused me to break bones by simply walking. I have had at least 16 different surgeries. When i was little i was told that i couldnt jump rope, i stayed outside all day so i could learn to jump rope. I have a clubbed foot that people stare at constantly but i have learned to “rock what i got”. I used to not wear flip flops because of my foot now i dont care what people think and God has gotten me through so many things and i know i am fearfully and wonderfully made. I hope u all keep rocking it because you all are an inspiration.

I have always loved Superchick ever since I saw them in Junior High when my church youth group took us to see them in Colorado Springs…Now that I am almost 25 years old, they still rock and give me so much inspiration. After my parents died in March, their song “Stand In The Rain” has been a source of tears and strength for me. You wouldn’t believe the power that song has for me. I have had to endure handling things I never thought I would have too: Planning both my parents’ funerals and the guardianship of my three younger siblings…Superchick makes me feel like I can keep going whenever I hear their music!

I just read some of the above entries. The one that is the last entry from Lindsey Saulton completely should win. My hardships are nought when I read her piece above. Wow. I can’t imagine going through what happened to her at such a tender age. Her parent died – both of them at around the same time – AND she had to take care of her younger siblings! I am 25 now and I just discovered Superchick through my friend Allison, who, like me, has an eating disorder. Two songs in particular that I absolutely adore are “Stand in the Rain” and “Courage.” Both songs have helped me when I’m in pain and need something more to get me through various situations. i have to admit that i was never a ‘girl power’ band person until i was introduced to superchick. since then i have fallen in love with not only their music but their amazing powerful lyrics. in the summers i am a camp counselor and i have played songs like ‘bowling ball’ and ‘anthem’ for my girls and seen their faces light up at the lyrics and the music. one camper told me this summer that she still listens to superchick and i introduced her to it two years ago. i have also played some songs like ‘we live’ for the boys and they enjoy the music and lyrics as well. i can’t tell you how many tough times, and break ups your songs have gotten me through. sometimes i don’t know what i would do without superchick in my mp3 or cd player. sometimes girls just need to rock out hardcore but still hear the powerful uplifting lyrics that superchick provides, it’s a perfect combination. i thank you SO MUCH for all of your music and how much it has meant to me and others that i’ve known. i’m trying to get a group together to go to the concert in grand rapids, mi campers and friends alike. i can’t wait for the concert i am PSYCHED!!

My whole family loves Superchick. We are youth pastors, and the leaders of our church’s drama team and we do dramas to Superchick! My daughter is doing an essay in front of her music class today and they had to pick their favorite band to do the essay on, and yep you guessed it, she choose Superchick! Superchick is wonderful. My first contact with Superchick was a gift. Literally. My sister bought me Beauty From Pain for Christmas in 2005 and I have been hooked ever since. That was the best albulm I could have ever asked for. At the time, I was A) in high school as a sophomore and B) in a highly depressed state. My freshman year had been rough. My best friend died in a freak accident and then a few months later eight siblings, my parents and I experienced a house fire that ended up being a total loss. Having been raised Christian, I went to the Lord for guidance, but sometimes everyone feels like they’ve been left behind; like God doesn’t really look after us. I knew that He did even though I couldn’t feel him, and eventually that dragged on my soul. I began to feel like a blot of deep black ink on the pure white canvass of life and I began to turn to anorexia to feel better about myself. In my heart, I knew that changing how I looked would never change the way I felt. I knew only God could do that. Yet I ignorned Him. I ignored everyone. When I listened to Beauty From Pain for the first time that winter, I was stuck by a semi going the speed of light. I wept for hours. I read the Bible for hours afterward. It changed me. I can never thank you enough for inadvertantly giving my life back to me – for breaking me so that I could welcome the Holy Spirit into my soul again let God mend me. Thank you.

I have only recently heard of Superchick but they have helped me through a lot. Seeing all the skinny girls and just girls that were prettier than me made me wish I was like them and I was willing to do anything to be like them. For a time I knew I couldn’t be annorexic so I thought about being a bulimic everytime I ate…around this time is when I first heard Superchick. My mom bought me the Rock What You Got CD and everytime I would think about gagging myself to be skinny I would sing the So Beautiful song to myself. Slowly, I got rid of the thought. Then a couple months ago I decided to move in with my dad and it CRUSHED my mom. I didn’t know how to get through all the pain that I know had so when I would be alone and cry in my room and pray to God I would play two songs that mean the world to me…Stand in the Rain and Crawl. I’m still getting through all this but now with God…and a little bit of Superchick ….I’m making it through the days. I know that I am beautiful and that we really could be an army and that I CAN and WILL stand my ground.

I love Superchick and have since I saw them at a Youth Rally when I was 15 (almost 9 years ago!). I love the messages they send to young people, especially girls. I also love that the band writes so much of themselves into the songs; I think most people can relate to what they’re going through.

Girls can do anything. A few years ago, I interviewed for an internship with a plumbing supplier and the interviewer indicated I wasn’t cut out for the job because I was a girl. I got the internship and let me tell you, when it was my turn to work in the warehouse, I got my forklift certification and I lifted boxes and crated bathtubs and waterheaters. I have never been so proud to hear a bunch of guys yell, “Look at this little girl doing all that!” Don’t let someone tell you you can’t do anything. You can.

I just wanted to say praise God for you guys and your positive messages for not only girls but todays youth in general. I brought my wife, son, god-daughter, and her best friend to see you guys in Lake in the Hills (hope you finally got some BBQ) and you guys sound insane live. Im Alex =) I love superchick’s songs they mean so much to me and mysellf courage. Some of thier song’s show such a powerful story/ message its so touching. I’ve onlly got two songs of Rock What You Got and thats beause i cant log on to Amazon. =) I’ve listened to Beauty From Pain many times and always i feel like crying. Im a recovering SH and my music is a big part of my life im also a dancer and have always chosen in comps to do a superchick song.I may be fat but i can still dance Many people over in the UK havent heard of superchick so its really great when i tell them and they go onto my website to find there songs. I’ve wanted to be a song write but i’ve settled to become a fiction writer and poet.

I am a seventeen year old senior at a small school in Pennsylvania. I grew up in the foster care system since I was four. My older sister got me into your music. Now I listen to it all the time. I got Rock What You Got for easter this year. I love that you encourage people to go after their dreams and to always stand up for what that belive! I LOVE Superchick, too! They’re music has really helped me through some tough times in my life, & they inspire me to never give up! God has really used them in huge ways in my life! Their lyrics are so empowering, comforting, & relatable, and no matter what I’m going through I can usually find a Superchick song that speaks in some way to my situation or how I’m feeling. I only have Beauty from Pain so far & have bought some other songs off of Itunes, but I would love to have the whole collection! Also, it would be such a blessing to be able to bless someone else by giving them the one I already have! i am absolutely in Love with Superchick. i unfortunately only one 1 of their CD’s and i only saw them in concert once. but it was the best concert i’ve ever been too. They let us go up close to the stage and rock out with the entire band. then after the concert, i had no idea, but they had meet and greets. it was quite possible the coolest thing ever.

As a kid I had two neighbor boys who took karate and always told me girls weren’t allowed. I wanted more than anything to take karate and show them that girls can do whatever they want, but at age 4 I was diagnosed with Leukemia. I couldnt participate any physical contact sports. Six years later after being cured, I began karate. I now have my second degree black belt and teach classes to all ages, including self defense to women.

Superchick is amazing. Your message is so strong. Everyone – males and females- should see how beautiful they are. Your music has had such an impact on my life, from dealing with my past to relationship issues. Keep Rocking What You Got!!

I have been a fan of Superchick since i saw your barlow girl video when i was in 6th grade at a church youthgroup. I’ve followed the band and gone to every concert i could find my way to. I sadly was not able to make the trip out to lifelight this year as university has started and being in my senior year time wasn’t a luxury i had. it was the first lifelight concert i missed in a long time. But i was told you guys rocked it out as i knew you would. I would love to be a proud owner of the Superchick library it would be simply amazing. The first Superchick song I ever heard was One Girl Revolution and it has been one of my favorites ever since…it got so embedded into my everyday listening that i wrote a song and accidentally put it to the tune of OGR. I own Beauty from Pain 1.1 and constantly find it to be such an encouraging album when i feel down. I’m always quoting Anthem and love Bowling Ball. To own the entire discography would be soooo cool! However, just being able to see all the people y’all have touched with your music is amazing in and of itself and provides great encouragement to me to continue in my musical endeavours.

In a world that is hurting, and in need of encouraging messages of God-honoring self-esteem, Superchick is a ray of light. It’s a message that needs to be shared with every girl (and guy) growing up today. You will be happiest being exactly what GOD made you to be and not what OTHERS want you to be! We will be bringing the girls in our Youth Group to Williamsport PA on November 6th to hear Superchick’s message of Christ honoring Self-Respect and Self-Esteem!

I am very passionate in agriculture dealing with farming and horses. A lot of men try to help me when they see me doing hard labor and i dont stop them but i make sure tey see that i can do it just as well as them.

Last year, I was at an ultimate low in my life and was really struggling just to make it through the day. I stumbled on Superchick’s song “Courage” on youtube… and then started to listen to the rest of their songs. Some might call it an accident; I call it providence. Either way, I can honestly say Superchick changed my life. I might even say they saved my life – insofar as their songs kept me going me through the day.

Winning the CDs would mean the world to me, but even if I don’t win, I’d like to give a big THANK YOU to Superchick and all that they do. Thanks for keeping your songs real, acknowledging struggles while still keeping it faith-based and inspiring. I know you have inspired me.
