New Marching Band Design

Having spent the better part of my high school and college years in field formations and braving the extreme heat and freezing temperatures known to musicians as “Marching Band Season,” I was particularly excited when someone asked me to create a custom Marching Band design for the girls at her daughter’s school.   I tweaked their version into a more generic representation and have posted it in the Girls Can’t WHAT? shop. The hoodies and sweatshirts would make great Christmas gifts and would fit snugly under a uniform to keep the chill off during those final football games.   For summer parade days when no marching band uniform is required, check out the tank tops and tees.

   OMG this is the coolest design ever! Being a freshman and new to the whole marching thing, this says it all. Especially when you have upper classmen who are guys thinking you’re to weak or she can’t do it. I also play the saxophone so your other design with the saxophonist is great also!!! Keep up the great work with the band designs. Love the website!

   “i too play in band i am low brass !! i AALWAYS have the guys bringin me down!! i am the oly girl in my section of 7!!! bein a freshman to band is crazy!!

   Madi – I was the only girl trombone player in my band for the first 3 years of high school. I never let that stop me. I made it to first chair in Jr. High and I was also frequently first chair during high school. I practiced as much as I could and always volunteered for solos. Stick with it and show them you are just as good, if not better than they are.
