Christina Was Told She’d Never Be as Smart as a Guy

I was told at a very young age that I would never be as smart as a guy, because I was a girl.

I was not told this by my parents, but by an aunt. She told me that it wasn’t my job to be smart, so why even try.

“Get through high school, and that’s all you should do. Anything more would be a waste of time.”

Ha.

I prove you wrong every single day.

I can do anything that I want to.

And reading was never a waste of my time.
