I was told “No,” to having a spot in the family business because I was a girl.

Now please let me express that I do come a wonderful family that really was not trying to directly hurt me.  It is a construction business and I believe the quote was,”If we owned a Florist Shop we’d have a position for you.”  Ouch.

So, I opened my own computer business (10 years now).  Have 2 great kids,  Working on my sites with Cafe press and having a blast.

Oh, did I mention that I’m a lipstick lesbian.  That did come as a surprise to my family but they love me, my beautiful partner and their grandchildren with an open heart.

So, rock on to old school meets new school.
