This past week has been full of changes for the Girls Can’t WHAT? site. I won’t bore you with the technical details, but here are some of the highlights:
- New streamlined theme – most noticeably the sidebar has been consolidated and rearranged to make it more organized for both the blog and the shop.
- The shop got a makeover that includes a more simplified navigation and some “helpful hints” displayed in the section headers.
- The weekly newsletter also got a makeover and will now be simplified to deliver only news, new design announcements and featured articles
- Winners will also be randomly drawn from the newsletter subscriber list so please sign up if you haven’t already
Your Story
The Share Your Story section is still going strong since it was launched in December. This past month we had the highest number of entries so far! As promised, I am picking 3 winners from the March entries. It was a tough decision because they were all soooo good! Here are the winning entries:
- Most Inspirational – Hannah Witnessed the Empowerment of the Next Generation
- Most Encouraging – Jeannie Was Told Girls Can’t Be Police Officers
- Best Peer Role Model – Ice’es Earns Respect By Completing the Entire Season

Hey – that’s a good one! I’m adding that to my list right now. I’m working on a few more updates to the shop and then I will be back to drawing new stuff next week. I have a lot of really fun designs planned. :)
