This Mother’s day, I received some of the coolest gifts ever. At breakfast, I was given two hints about my gift from my girls. Katelynn said “Moo” and Kirstynn said “Ding Ding.” I thought they got me a milk truck, but I guessed wrong. It turns out that “Moo” + “Ding Ding” = Cowbell!
In case you are confused as to why I would be excited about a cowbell, let me explain that it is a percussion instrument that I can attach to my drum set. Anything related to drumming is an awesome gift! They didn’t actually buy me the cowbell, but they gave me permission to go pick one out.
Kirstynn made me several cards, a few of which she stapled completely shut. They are hanging on the refrigerator.
The other gift I received was a flower pot that was hand-painted by my daughter Katelynn in her class at school. The flower pot was filled with cake, frosted, and had flowers made out of cookies and gumdrops. We finished off the cake and cookies already, but I saved the flower pot. I plan to use it for something eventually. I just have to display it somewhere…look what it says on it!
Katelynn also brought her Young Authors book home from school this weekend which she titled “Girls Can’t WHAT?™”. The story is about a girl who works at home on a web site called “Girls Can’t WHAT?™” and designs T-shirts. I think I have a future marketing director on my hands. :)
