“A proper young lady would NOT be doing that!” that is all I hear from my father and grandfather.
I want to be a voice actress and translator for ADV or Funimation, and I love anime! My mother has always supported me in my hobbies and my career goals but my father believes I should become a nurse or a housewife. I have practiced with my bow until my fingers bled, I have had my lip busted open several times in martial arts without shedding a tear, I am learning how to use throwing knives, I am learning Japanese, and I am just as strong both mentally and in some areas physically as any guy out there but for some reason my dad can’t understand that.
I don’t expect to win any awards for this, I just want to tell the world one thing: It doesn’t matter what gender you are, if you have a skill or passion don’t let anyone stop you from following it!
