How Does It Work?
Rather than giving money away, lending through KIVA allows Girls Can’t WHAT? to help other women entrepreneurs finance their dreams. These loans help women get the break they need while maintaining their self-esteem by earning their success rather than having it handed to them in the form of charity. In other words, we help those who help themselves.
100% of every dollar Girls Can’t WHAT? lends goes directly to the person in need. When the loan is re-paid by the recipient, the money is reinvested to another entrepreneur. Each month, the amount we can lend grows which helps even more women achieve their goals at a much faster pace. Everybody Wins!
Who benefits?
Women and women-owned businesses are the primary recipients of micro-loans from Girls Can’t WHAT?. Also supported are organizations whose primary functions are education and/or child care. Here are a few of the women entrepreneurs you are helping:
