I spent 10 years of my early career as a software interface designer working on all men teams of technologists. It is often assumed that women don’t believe in the high tech industry and it is rare to find women leading technology companies. I was often discouraged from pursuing my ultimate dream of running my own ecommerce company because of being female.
Today, I am able to support my family solely from the revenue of our company and my husband is able to raise our son and future child due in October full time without having to earn an income on his own. We don’t have a typical arrangement but working full time for me and working as a full time father for my husband is by far the best lifestyle for our family.
