Closing the Gender Leadership Gap

44I am a school psychologist that also has a doctorate in leadership studies. After being frustrated by witnessing girls lack confidence to share their creative ideas with world and experiencing the gender leadership equity gap first hand, I quit my job to start a business focused on teaching young girls how to be confident, creative leaders.

The Girls With Ideas curriculum provides hands-on creative leadership training for girls ages 9-13 (a crucial time when girls start thinking about who they are and who they want to become). Each curriculum package comes with a Facilitator Guide with twenty 45 minute-lessons that anyone can use with a group of 3-9 girls, workbooks called Idea Books for each girl, and an "Idea Ink" pen for each girl. These enriching group activities can be used in schools, after-school programs, community organizations, college mentorship programs, and with family or friends.

In order to raise funds for the launch, Girls With Ideas has launched a Kickstarter campaign. The Curriculum Packages are available for pre-order until March 12, 2016.
