More Than Me helps get girls off the street and into school in the slum of West Point, Liberia. They work with some of the most vulnerable and exploited young girls on the planet.
By the age of ten, many of these of girls will already be living on the streets prostituting themselves for survival. Over the past three years, they have been funding girls tuition and the cost of school supplies and lunch.
They are now endeavoring to build a girls academy which will be an inspiring school in the day and a safe place in the evenings. The academy will provide support, recreational activities and vocational training. The Liberian government has provided More Than Me with a space to start the school, but the building needs an incredible amount of work.
On June 13th (that’s today!) a website called GlobalGiving is hosting a Match Day event, where they will match 50% donation given to the More Than Me project. Their goal is to get 1000 people to donate $25 and help spread the word. Every little bit helps be able to impact more girls!
