Monday I had an appointment to get my eyes checked and it dawned on me that I didn’t have an optometrist design yet. I have the best eye doctor on the planet. Her name is Dr. Camda Temmen and she makes every visit enjoyable. In fact, my family likes her so much that when she moved to a new office several years ago on the other side of town, we opted to drive out of our way rather than change doctors.
My vision is not the greatest. When I was seven years old or so, I was stung by a bee in the corner of my left eye. Although there is no visible scarring, I have never had perfect vision in that eye and it is prone to dryness and eye strain problems which are common occurrences in my technical profession. No combination of contacts or prescription glasses have ever corrected that, but Dr. Temmen knows all about it and works with me whenever I have slight variances in my prescription.
So here’s one for all those women who practice optometry!
This design is available in the Girls Can’t WHAT? Gift Shop. It comes in light and dark skin tones on a variety of gifts and apparel such as hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, stickers, posters, calendars, ornaments, mouse pads, mugs, bags and more. Catch the vision that girls can be optometrists, too!
