As a web designer and all-around computer geek, I enjoyed this video about the Alice Project. It’s a well-known fact that there are very few women in the computer industry. The Alice project was developed at the university level to help attract young people into the Computer Science field by simplifying the tools and teaching them basic programming skills.
Alice is a modern programming environment designed to be a student’s first exposure to object-oriented programming. It allows students to learn basic computer science while creating animated movies, simple video games, where students control the behavior of 3D objects and characters in a virtual world.
