I’m Collete Davis, I’m 16, and I’m a Mechanic.

Hi, my name is Collete Davis. I’m 16 years old with some pretty big dreams. I’m a senior at Fountain Fort Carson High School and am currently going to Pikes Peak Community College for my automotive class as well.

Whenever I tell people that I’m a mechanic, most of them (mainly the guys) laugh and say, “Yea right.” But its true. I love cars, and I love working on them.  I’m moving to Daytona Beach, Florida after the summer to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for Mechanical Engineering on high performance vehicles. I plan on having my masters in 4 or 5 years.

My future goals involve racing for either NASCAR or the IRL. If I dont race for them I definately want to be on the engineering side of the race business or be part of a crew and work on the cars. I’m already talking to Elaine Larson, female drive of Embry-Riddle’s jet dragster, about my goals and she wants me to be on her crew when I move to Florida this year!

Like always… when I tell people that they think I’m lying, but I’m definitely not.
I’m Collete Davis, I’m 16, and I’m a mechanic.
