My all-girl band, Amplified, has released a 4-track CD! After a year of sweat, blood and tears (or more like a lot of driving, staring at our overly-packed schedules, several pounds of coffee and gallons of green tea, a lot of very looong nights and Triscuits with cream cheese thrown in for good measure) we managed to assemble all five of us in the studio long enough to record 4 of our best songs.
The CD is simply called Amplified and features Kelli Kopetz, Leslie Swafford and Katrina Fisher on vocals, Lindsay Strohkirch on Keyboards and Gretchen Cawthon (that’s me) on Drums. Our producer, Kevin Turner at Marina Park Music added bass and guitar to the tracks and Kelli also played flute on “Evidence of Grace”.
Connect with Amplified on myspace and facebook.
Update: The band name has now changed to Four Wall Flight and we have a new full-length album out. Click here to listen!

We’ve not been signed yet although we did showcase for a record label in Nashville last July. We’re not really looking for that anyway We just like to perform together as a group. Fame and Money aren’t that important to us.

Has your band been signed yet?

Congrats on the recording. If you ever decide to take it the whole way and get a female producer, let me know! I have my own indie label in the UK.
