Jamie’s On Her Way To Being A Rock Star

Submitted By: Jamie Scoles | Age: 17

I’m Jamie, I’m 17 years old. I reside in South Orange County, I have a strong passion for music which has gotten me into instrument playing and music production  Since I can remember I have dreamed of growing up and being a rockstar.

As a child I used to sit in the kitchen and bang on pots and pans with chopsticks, Once I got my first drumset at age 10 I have fallen in love with the drums since. My greatest influence is Travis Barker from Blink 182, as soon as I saw his drumming I knew that that was what I wanted to do with my life.

I am the drummer of Freedom to Fall and Briana Harley but also open to playing with other artists in the future. I have done a lot of previous work such as playing with artists such as Adam Ho from Drillbit Taylor and Miss Arizona and so on. I am very dedicated and determined to following my dreams.

When I was 14 I was asked to be a music instructor at the OC childrens music academy, I was the youngest working music instructor. I was mainly self taught and I like to create my own original style of drumming
that not many other drummers do.

When I was 16, I did alot of playing in the studio and shows that led me to meeting other great artists, being in the newspaper as the “hit on mainstreet”, and getting booked to play shows in other cities to countries.

I am on my way to being discovered and I am hoping that someday I will. I have uncountable supporters of my drumming that push me to get closer to my dream, messages and emails from fans of my drumming boost my self esteem and make me want to work harder and harder but it really is the best feeling. My friends and family are my biggest supporters of my music and without them I would not be where I am today.
