Ladies – Don’t Be Fooled By This

Take a look at this ad that graced my RSS reader last night.  Take a really GOOD look.  Do you see what I see? rss-ad Sure she looks better…looks like she had her make-up done, her nose looks thinner, wrinkles are gone…  The product must really work, right?  Look again.  Look very closely at her hair.  What are the odds that after a few days/weeks of using this miracle product that her hair remarkably fell into the exact same position as the day her “before” picture was taken?  Can you say P-H-O-T-O-S-H-O-P?  Remember the Facebook Ad I pointed out a few weeks ago?  This is the same kind of crap.  Don’t be fooled. If you’d like to see how Photoshop is used to manipulate reality, see this video: No Wonder Our Perception of Beauty is Distorted

  • I totaly know what you mean. Like come one, anyone could point that out. Nobody believes them so they have to stop making this fake junk and actually do something thats going to be worthwhile that people will actually look at! Like jeez, even if it didnt look like it had been photoshopped i still woudlnt have looked at it and neither would anyone else in my opinion. The people who do this need to get a life!

Its obvious they’re the same pic even if you just glance at it. The blurring is also incredibly obvious. Its so obvious, in fact, that I thought they were selling a service that photoshopped your pics for you. Even if they were I wouldn’t pay them. They’re too blur happy.

  • Any wrinkle product that would truly re-arrange your features is a very scary thing!!

Every girl should learn how to use photoshop so that you can spot these things right away.
I think she looks prettier in the first picture anyway.

  • Great call, Gretchen. I would always assume that these things are fake but I didn’t notice the blatant fakery in this one until you pointed it out. (Also, it’s funny how the placement of logos of legitimate news organizations works subconsciously to counter the brain’s skepticism.)
