Meet Jennifer Marriott

I’d like to introduce you all to a friend I made recently…I met Jennifer Marriott in the Joomla forums a few weeks ago. In case you don’t know what “Joomla” is, it is incredible open source CMS software that Jennifer and I both used to create our web sites. Aside from being a fellow web geek, Jennifer is also a very talented musician. I did not know this until she asked me to take a look at her new site design about two weeks ago. Her site can be found at www.jennifermarriott.com and she did it herself! I really like the site design because it is simple and clean looking with subtle color accents. I was impressed with the home page, and being a musician myself, I decided to surf around the rest of the site to check out her music.

Jen says her musical tastes span from KISS to Supertramp to Joni Mitchell to Donna Summer which sounds pretty interesting so I checked out her sound clips. Wow! And I thought her web design skills rocked…Jennifer has an outstanding and unique musical sound. I don’t usually get “hooked” on tunes the first time I hear them, but I will admit I played through every single track on that page more than once. I totally dig it, Jen!

So I’m inviting all of you to take a peek at Jennifer’s site and give her music a listen. There are a couple of video clips on there as well. And check out the band she performs with called Odd Sheep Out. Jennifer is also a member of the Girls Can’t WHAT? community.

Oh yeah – and I’m supposed to ask (since our band still needs a guitar player)…any chance you’d want to move to Illinois? And where can we get a CD of your songs?
