It’s been a little quiet on the blog for a while. I’ve been busy with a new top secret idea for Girls Can’t What? and today I am going to unveil it. (Well ok – I cheated and let the cat out of the bag on our facebook fan page last week.)
When I ask for feedback on this site, you ladies are not shy about telling me what you like and don’t like. I like to listen and analyze right along with you. One thing I’ve learned recently is that while you like the Girls Can’t WHAT? designs, the cartoon characters just aren’t your thing. Or in some cases, the character doesn’t really represent you or your daughter.
I feel ya. And I totally get what you’re saying.
You like the concept, but you want a few more choices. You want a design with all the power and attitude of “Girls Can’t WHAT?” and still have something that represents your passion. I get it. So I came up with a new idea for designs and I have been busting my butt to get them out as fast as I can. There are only a few in place and the rest will be coming soon (I literally have hundreds of ideas!).
So here they are… new designs that represent your passions. And the cool part is that they are totally customizable. You can resize the design, add or remove the custom text field. Change the background colors or style of apparel to suit your taste. They come in a variety of colors to choose from so you can make it your own.

I will be creating a lot more of these very soon. If there is a particular design you are looking for, please post a comment and let me know. I’ll try to work on requested items first and I will still be drawing characters and choosing popular requests from my lengthy list. If you have any ideas for design variations, please let me know.

Thanks Robin! I plan on filling in a whole bunch of them very soon. Trombone is already on my list. I was first chair trombone in high school. ;)

YES! Thanks – I think the cartoons are great for empowering younger girls, and more in line with their style. But the cleaner look without the girl (see, I’m the girl — right here — in this shirt) appeals more to teens and up.
Please bring each category up to the new style a little at a time, so everyone gets some of the new look. I am interested in the drum and the bass. More brass instruments! THANKS for trumpet and sax. Throw the trombone in there too, which my own sister bailed on in 1970 because that was a boy’s instrument. (??)
Thanks for the military category – maybe even some more specific military jobs, which are still so gender-defined. maybe a veteran or 2 could help identify them (explosives, jets, submarines – FINALLY, navySEALS, etc)

Thanks. I already created a green volleyball one for me and put “Meridian Hawks” on it since I will have two daughters in volleyball this year. I can’t wait to make more. There are several that I want for myself. :D
