Science Cartoon Explains Why You Don’t Become Great By Trying To Be Great

This cartoon is priceless. Really. There are so many women who don’t get the credit they deserve for the contributions they have made to this world.

And last two frames contain some of the best advice I’ve ever heard.  (I’m not referring to the “avoid radium” part, but that’s good advice, too!)

Isn’t that the truth! Often husbands, brothers, teachers, or male colleagues got credit for the work women did. Caroline Herschel made as great contributions to astronomy as her brother William, but we usually hear more about William. William became Court Astronomer, but Caroline was officially his “assistant”. Many other women didn’t even get that much credit.
