Football is totally not my thing. I only watch the Superbowl for the commercials. And usually the halftime show is not really of any interest to me. In fact, I didn’t even know who was performing for the half-time show until Beyoncé appeared on the stage. I almost went into the kitchen for snacks, but then I decided to watch. And I am so glad I did.
Beyoncé really rocked it out and the first thing I noticed was that her band was made up entirely of women! How did I not know this before? Apparently this was news to a lot of people and the all-girl musicians got a lot of mentions in the interviews with Beyoncé that followed her performance last Sunday. I loved this quote from one of the interviews and thought you’d like to pass this around to your musician friends.

I applaud her for taking that initiative. She could have whomever she wanted and it’s great to see her choosing women who are just as talented and capable as the men in their fields.

This is great. Beyonce is making a move to uplift the integrity of women in the music industry.
